Yesterday, the organizers of Apec Singapore 2009 presented the shirts which world leaders will be wearing for the traditional leaders' group photo during the summit
Only the male attire was displayed at the press conference as the female ones are still in the process of making. The men, including Barack Obama, could choose from three different colours, green, blue and red
It looked like a disaster to me never mind that the material is linen and silk with embroidery decor that looks like a lotus flower
Upon looking at the green one, it reminded me of Mao Zedong. Very military, very archaic, very Mao-inspired. The blue one looks like a suitable choice of attire if one has to attend a funeral. The red one is just the normal CNY uniform you will see people wearing during the start of a new Lunar year
In a whole, the colours were rather dull. Taking into consideration that most of the leaders will wear black or dark-coloured pants, the overall image portrayed will be even more mundane. Doesn't look modern at all but that was what the designer claimed
The 2006 one in Vietnam was memorable where George Bush and co. donned the local traditional outfits

That's all
