Shanghai World Expo

Oh! The World Expo is back again after five years and it will be held in Shanghai, China. At last, Beijing does not gain all the international glory

I had always preferred Shanghai over Beijing. The latter is just a piece of rock wrapped casually with paper and sprinkled with a little glitter. Shanghai is the smooth pebble which always shines without fail

To say it properly, Beijing is the inelegant official face of China. Shanghai, on the other hand, is more modern and cosmopolitan. It should have long been the face of China since a century ago

Beijing and Shanghai's rivalry is something similar to America's New York and Los Angeles. The Shanghainese are eager to prove that their city is the leading one for the world's most populous state. Shanghai will get its long-awaited attention and recognition when the World Expo begins but overtaking Beijing is another issue

Yes, Shanghai is more trendy and adaptable without a doubt but most importantly, the overall image of China must be improved. Whoever is the face of China must be responsible that it is a pretty face

MIKE

Photobucket

I would like to talk about my school's student portal site. It is called MIKE (sorry but I don't know why and I don't remember being told the reason) and it supposed to be a multi-purpose site of almost everything for every student

Unfortunately, I must say that it sucks. There are only three things you can expect from this website. Either lag, hang or not even able to access it for whatever error that pops up

One of the three things which I mentioned will surely happen whenever I visit the website since the start new academic year. SP seriously needs to do something to improve it and appease irritated users like myself

I confirm that I am not the only one having negative feedback about it. Maybe I should call the helpdesk hotline and show off my world class complaining oratory skills to the person who answered the call

Speaking about complaining over the phone, I realized that SBS has yet to get back to me after two weeks. That Rainder foreigner guy who talked to me previously will meet his doom

MFA kelong, Ionescu not mortal

Judging from the way the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' handling (or mishandling) of the Silviu Ionescu's hit-and-run case, we can see that there is still much room for improvement for PAP

Firstly, why did MFA let that heartless creature from Romania leave the country in the first place? It only made things more complicated like the mess which they are trying to clean up now

Some people like a certain Chng Chee Kin (search for his profile on Facebook where there is a guy too small to see his real bootlicking face standing in front of a white tent), who rebutted me on George Yeo's status update, think otherwise

He said "MFA couldn't hv restricted him from leaving the country as he was not even a suspect at that point in time from a legal standpoint (deep down we all knew he was). I think MFA has tried its best to salvage the situation e.g. raising it to interpol, summoned their embassador and even talked to their MFA minister at Vatican city."

*He couldn't even spell ambassador correctly

I agree with all the parts in his last sentence and MFA ought to do them anyway. However, knowing that letting Idiotic Ionescu "escape" back to his Dracula homeland, why didn't the ministry restricted him from leaving?

Because there was a lack of evidence then? Maybe but maybe there are some other reasons which we don't know why the former diplomat could leave Singapore

George Yeo did not even comment about this thing until a month later. But when good buddy Jack Neo was in hot soup during March, Minister Yeo was swift in urging Singaporeans to rally around him

With a PAP minister and his ministry like this, how can we be confident of them governing the country? Will you feel secure if you voted for them?

With a such a complicated and difficult situation for the MFA to rack their brains to solve (or pacify everyone) and Ionescu's unbelievable attitude to the case which I cannot label him as a mortal, what can we do?

Pray lor.

And vote the PAP out at the next election

Smoking Film

Recently, there is a new Hong Kong movie in Singapore cinemas. It is called Love in a Puff

What I would like to talk about here is not about rating the movie (as I have yet to watch it) but the idea and concept of it

Since more than a year ago, I had already thought of producing a film about smoking being banned in indoor areas and the common places where smokers would puff

Unfortunately, Pang Ho-cheung the director was one step faster than me. He wrote Love in a Puff's script and directed the movie before I could even tell someone about my idea

I should have patented my idea a year ago. So even if someone films a movie like this, I could sue him/her for copyrights. Well, I am not so petty of course because I believe that creativity is a never-ending flow like waterfalls

I still have many ideas in my mind currently which nobody has used yet. Actually, for this smoking idea, I got my inspiration from looking at people smoking in public

Whether, it is well dressed people at Orchard Road, students at the bus stop outside SP or just a random guy/girl standing next to a dustbin in public

I admit I felt a little disappointed when I realized that there was such a movie about my idea. I think I can do a better one than Pang. The characters in the show ae rather old-school

Ok, maybe I can come up with a Singapore version one and get some smoker friends to be my cast. And we will get Marlboro to sponsor us IceBlast for the movie. Hahaha

By the way, I repeat for the upteen time, I do not smoke and smoking is bad for you physically, mentally and financially

Star Awards 2010

Star Awards 2010 will be held tomorrow night at Resorts World Sentosa. As for today, this blog will be having a prize presentation for winners of alternative titles in the media industry. Let the ceremony begin

Most Lucky Artiste: Chen Hanwei

The versatile actor gets all the good roles and plays them well. From an ah beng gambler to a squeaky clean teacher to a very "auntie" uncle, he has excelled in all of them

Always a sure-in for the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes and a good bet for the Best Male Actor award so long as he is nominated

Who else has more luck than him? By the way, he's already past forty years old

Most Demure Actress: Jeanette Aw

Omg! You don't even need three seconds for her name to come up in your mind for this award. Tested and proven, this little nyonya (on TV) is best at acting demure, take note of the verb "act"

In dramas like The Little Nyonya and Together, she is always portraying a sweet and soft image which puts Tae Yeon, Yoona and co. to shame. But take a look at other productions like The Champion, Rainbow Connection and Rhythm of Life which she stars in. She looks much more pleasant in them

I don't think Rui En will ever be able to act like her, in terms of being demure I mean

Not-you-again? Award: Xiang Yun

Frankly speaking, I really don't see much potential in her, or maybe her potential energy has transformed into wind energy already. I don't understand why is she always nominated

When she won the Best Supporting Female Actress last year, my jaws dropped like how LeBron James does a slamdunk. The most disturbing part of watching Star Awards annually is seeing her receive the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award time and again

Sometimes, some people are willing to fork out a little something in order to win a little something else

Comeback Queen Award: Ann Kok

This one is quite debatable but I will go for whoever I think of first and I believe Auntie Ann Kok deserves it

Many people think that it was a large breakthrough for her after playing a housewife in Housewives' Holiday. She has not won the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award for more than a decade

She starred in a telemovie this year and has two new dramas in her schedule for 2010

This year looks like a positive turning point for her although at a mature age of 37

Just So Suay Award: Tay Ping Hui

Nominated every year. Disappointed every year. The complete opposite of Chen Hanwei only that he is taller and bulkier

He doesn't always get the good roles but is still able to earn himself a nomination in the Best Actor category only to be defeated by different male colleagues year after year

So to console him after much sympathy, I decided to present him this award. At least Chen Hanwei doesn't get to win it right?

Act Cool Only Award: Rui En

Just like how she cannot imitate Jeanette Aw, the latter will never be able to follow her style either

Always portraying a cold image to the public excluding in dramas. She looks unapproachable for 364 days a year (I decided to cancel out one day for her birthday)

I don't know what else to talk about her. The glacier is too tough to melt. We need some global warming for this particular case

Nothing Left To Give Award: Felicia Chin and Joanne Peh

Three of the seven princesses have left Mediacorp. Two of the remaining four have received an award already. To avoid angering fans of the other two remaining princesses, I was obliged to make this award specially for them

You see, the local entertainment circle has frequently been a case of everybody-also-win like what we saw in the first show of this year's Star Awards last week

Young and good-looking artistes have a considerable amount of fans. Since pleasing the artiste would be equivalent to pleasing the fans, why not kill two birds with one stone (or satisfy two groups of people with one award)

Congrats to Felicia for still being so calm after numerous claims that she has undergo plastic surgery. As for Joanne, congrats for erm, being the most decent looking one among all the Mediacorp princesses

Earth Day

It was No Vehicles Day yesterday. Oops, sorry I mean it was Earth Day yesterday. The school informed everyone not to drive into the campus and as expected, there were very few cars/motorcycles. Very few. Means there are still some

The Channel 8 news last evening was rather misleading. The cameraman only filmed parts of the school which has empty car park lots (maybe they did film some cars but decided to cut them away to save SP's face)

No cars never mind. There was some noisy music-blasting event at the plaza, enough noise pollution to compensate for the lack of air pollution. Well done!

Oh, and there was a part of the news which broadcasted the principal planting a tree! It's Tree Planting Day as well!

21 April

Today is the first day that I entered school via Dover MRT station and I must say some things just cannot be changed

The MRT station and that bridge which links SP to the station is crowded with people. It was extremely crowded today even though it was already close to 9am

It was so packed that if you drop a coin, chances are that you will never find it again among all those pairs of legs. You have to literally turn and twist while squeezing through the crowd like what Jackie Chan does in his movies

Judging from the obscene amounts of idiots standing there every morning, I think a new nursery rhyme that goes "SP bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. SP bridge is falling down, cos' of the students"

Went to the SPICE Service Centre at it new location during noon. Well, the student helpers there are still the same few faces especially the Malay guy. I think he recognizes me already because I am a "regular customer" there. Every semester we will get to see each other for the same reason

As it was the first week, there were many people with many problematic notebooks there. The queue at the counter was horrible. Luckily, I made a booking online first and had the priority to enter first. Wah, but when I entered the room, my jaws dropped at that magnificent sight in front of me

The whole room was full of people. Some were waiting for their laptops to load, others raised hands constantly to ask for help while a few were doing other stuff (Youtube, Facebook) to kill time. In the end, I managed to find an empty seat at the last row. My issue was a simple one, I can't connect to the school's main wireless network and everything was gao dim in ten minutes

Oh yes, tomorrow is SP Earth Day so no cars or other vehicles are allowed to enter the school. I wonder if the principal will take the MRT tomorrow morning and stand with us at the station while waiting for his colleagues

20 April

Two days in school and I have two things to talk about. Actually it is two changes which happened in the campus during the holidays

First of all, it is our beloved ground floor of block T15. The area where there were benches all over the place with students sitting on them with their laptops switched on and plugged into any available powerpoint nearby

That is only during normal days like now. When it is nearing to the examinations, laptops and clicking mouses of Dota players will transform into lecture notes and tutorials with pens and pencils scribbling on them

This social space or outdoor gaming area or study corner (whatever you like naming it) is gone! I'm not sure if it is gone for good but it definitely affected a lot of people

It is under renovation/construction although the trees are still miraculously rooted there untouched when it is surrounded with debris and dust. It used to be a top choice to surf the net or have a discussion with friends other than the library

As for now, the library seems to be the only main option which can accommodate lots of people. However, it is not very crowded from my observation for two days. Sooner or later when the year ones familiarize with the campus will be the start of another overcrowding problem which we are currently having for the foodcourts

Actually I have inside news which is reliable that McDonald's will be moving from the current concourse location to block T16. So I was thinking if T15 will be part of it as well which explains the renovation

Yes, all SP students, you can go ahead and tell your friends about McDonald's change of location in the campus. It is a reliable piece of news from reliable sources not to be revealed of course. Official announcements have not been made

Ok, on to the second thing which I want to talk about. It is the new claypot food stall at Foodcourt 4. Walau, !@#$%^& the cook is either blind or has no experience in cooking before

I ordered hokkien mee and the gravy was like cooked using seawater instead of normal tap water. There was so much sodium chloride in it. Yeah, in short it was very salty and I mean very

Wasted $3.50 and ten minutes of my life while waiting for it. $3.50 leh, I need to work one hour of ITP to earn that amount you know. If the stall was playing Restaurant City on Facebook, it will surely be a loser

Again, all SP students, you can go ahead and tell your friends about this stall. Please help to spread the word around and create awareness so that you and your friends can make in informed decision. Why do I sound like I am introducing some policies?

Vertical Living Kids

An interesting article. Come on, just read on, no harm right and you ight even gain some knowledge from it

By Candy Lashkari

A University of Melbourne Associate Professor Carolyn Whitzman has recently concluded a study called “Vertical living kids” which proves that children living in high rises are not as independent as those living in the suburbs. They are far more dependent on parental supervision when planning outings and excursions.

“There has been a dramatic decrease over the past 30 years in what we call ‘Children’s Independent Mobility’, the ability of children aged 8-12 to explore public spaces without adults.” said Carolyn Whitzman.

The number of apartments buildings built in the Australian capital has been on the rise since the public housing estates began building them in the 1960s and 1970s. These were primarily means for residents who were thought to be DINKS or dual income no kids. It is not considered healthy for kids to be raised in high rises.

However a number of children do live in these downtown apartments. The effect of living in such high rise apartment buildings on their mobility without parents in the neighborhood is profound. This is what the study “Vertical Living Kids” has tried to establish.

A total of 40 children between the ages of 8 to 12 took part in the study. These children were asked to fill in details of the trips that they took over a period of four days. They were to note down these details in a travel diary and they were even given disposable cameras to take photos of places that they liked or did not like around the neighbourhood.

According to Carolyn Whitzman, “There have been a number of studies in recent years that look at children living in more traditional suburban homes in Melbourne. All of these studies have found that there has been a precipitous decline in children’s independent journeys to school, shops, friends’ houses and other destinations. If suburbs were intended to provide safe places for children to explore and travel on their own, they are failing in that regard.”

Of the 290 trips monitored over the 4 day period, 18 children in public housing and 22 in privately owned properties participated in the project. Whitzman asserted, “Being able to go to school, friends’ houses, parks and shops on their own is vital to kids’ physical and emotional development, their sense of citizenship – of being a valued part of a community and being physically active in day to day activities.”

Children who participated in the study were found to get bored with the small play grounds in the areas which they felt were more suited to smaller children. They did enjoy living in high rises which were more centrally located and offered a chance to get out on trips to malls close by.

There are guidelines being offered for schools and playgrounds to be planned in new high rise private developments. The more active children are in this age, the more active they are likely to be in the future when they grow up into adults. And the more active an adult is the less likely if he to get obese or related cardiac disorders.

Star Search

Do you remember this commercial? It was aired last year and used by me as a humour moment whenever I bring up about it to people whom I am I talking with

I will try to imitate that crazy girl in the commercial and take turns laughing with the person watching me do it or doing it together with me

The purpose of Mediacorp shooting this clip was to tell everyone that "words of encouragement can unleash one's potential to overcome obstacles". It was shot during 2009, a year when H1N1 and the economy worried us

The ending was a pleasant one where Paige Chua, acting as the grown up crazy girl, succeeds in an acting audition. Since then, I have been suspecting if that crazy girl was really her and did the production take twenty years to complete

Of course I know I am wrong but I have to say that this is a very inspiring video. In fact, it is a suitable clip to promote Star Search

Wait, did I say Star Search? Yes, the 10th installment of this acting competition will take place this year. It has since been the path many artistes take to the road of acting success

Since young I have always dreamed of becoming an actor, one that acts on TV and not those on the stage doing artistic (un-understandable) things. I frequently tell myself that I will join Star Search one day and I must be the winner

Only winners will be remembered. Only winners will survive. Only winners will be handed a contract. Only by being a winner can I half-fufil my ambition

I won't join this year's competition but you will never know for the next one. In the meantime, let me get some inspiration from that commercial and be like that crazy girl

30th day of ITP

After six weeks, my ITP is finally going to come to and end. I need to do clearance today so I think I will be walking around the company with a heavy heart later

Goodbye and Farewell

If we ever see each other again, it will be when we meet on the streets some day

14 April

Today afternoon, I called the SBS hotline to lodge a complaint. The phone ringed for like four times before a foreigner (I confirm it's some foreigner on a working pass) with a strong non-local accent answered it. His name was Rainder or something, I don't know the spelling but I must say he sucks big time as a customer service staff

Already pissed at the irregular frequency of the bus last evening, I got even more annoyed with his foreign accent (should be Fillipino because it's a popular job in their country) and poor telephone etiquette. It is obvious that he did not follow the way he was coached to talk or the company didn't bother investing in a foreigner like him. I hope it's the latter

Ok so I was telling him that I waited for 25 mins for the bus last evening which was raining heavily. I told him it was last evening and he asked me if it was during the raining period. I wanted to ask him "so is it an excuse for buses to be late when it's raining?, We are Singapore ok?"

He asked for my name, contact number and ex-link card number. What? Ez-link card number? I don't think that is necessary at all. I only gave him the first two. I said the first four numbers of my phone number slowly before doing a lighting speed blabber for the last four digits just to irritate him. Yeah, I am so wicked

At that was the end of the story, according to him. I twisted the plot and asked him "then?" He replied "we will check and call you back" I accepted his reply but purposely did not ask him when will it be. I am going to call the hotline in the afternoon tomorrow if nobody is calling me back and I will shoot and shoot that "the agent on the line did not even had the responsibility to tell when will I get a callback"

Then I will go on and question about their customer relations professionalism and their questionable way of operating, not only the frequency of buses of course. Rainder or whatever name a Singaporean will never be called, you better watch out

Birthday

Let me summarize what transpired on my birthday yesterday

Many people wished me happy birthday using different methods. I can't remember how many were they in total as all I could remember was that I said thank you countless of times to whoever that wished me

There were people who wished me when they saw me in the morning

There were also some who realized that it was my nineteen anniversary on earth and wished me

Some wished me only when I walked past them while other did it when we were the only two people at a specific place Ex. toilet

There was also one who smsed one of our mutual friends and asked that mutual friend to wish me verbally when she has my handphone number

Three girls bought me ice-cream, they said that there was no cake shop nearby

Some seem to be aware that it is my birthday but just can't say it out to break the ice

One approached me to shake my hand to wish even though I don't what was she blabbering while shaking my hand but I believe it is some wishes

And a whole lot of people wrote on my wall in Facebook. I have thanked every single one of them in the most creative way I can think of instead of the usual and boring "thank you" that most people will do

One more significant thing of yesterday is my cholesterol level. I think that my cholesterol level will score distinction judging from the food which I consumed yesterday

Char kway teow, fried chicken, pastries, french fries, lots of creamy stuff and of course birthday cake lah

I would like to thank everyone again for making it a pleasant day for me

Birthday

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to Raymond
Happy birthday to you

Muacks Muacks, I love myself very much. Tomorrow is my birthday and I can't wait for it to arrive and just pause there for me to enjoy until I am satisfied

Sighs...Raymond, you are nineteen years old already and there are still so many things which you have yet to do

Have not traveled to overseas before in your life. Yes, you managed to keep a golden record going for nineteen years

Have not mastered the moonwalk even though you practise it constantly. Oh wait, you have been practising Sorry Sorry lately

Have not smoked before but know a lot about cigarettes. Smoking is bad for you health and Marlboro just increased its price recently. A pack of IceBlast costs almost $12 now. Ok sorry for the extra info

Have not (really) drank alcohol in your life before. Yes, you did tasted a bit of it when you were young but realized that it was bitter and never touched it again. Except for Jolly Shandy

Have not been a to a pub/club. I know you don't like those kind of places. It's a waste of money and time. I do not like them either. High five

Have not got your PhD yet. This one can take time to achieve. For now, people can still call you Raymond but they will have to address you as Dr. Eng in the future

Have not played pool before. Ok at you support Liverpool and had ever swam in a swimming pool

Have not done many many other things yet

But there is one thing which you had done, eating Black Forest cake on your birthday every year

My log book is pretty full now. Every single daily entry space is filled up to the brink by long winded stories from me. I think the principal should give me an award called "Most detailed log book of an SP student in the entire school's history" I believe I deserve that award like how our government claim they deserve such obscene salaries

I realized that ITP does not really play an important part to our education in the polytechnic. Yes, we are given work experience but to what extent is it relevant to the modules which we are taking?

Even if it is very relevant, how is six weeks enough to gain anything really useful? Especially those who travel to another country for overseas ITP like China? Omg, did I say China? What can we learn from them man? Putting melamine into milk powder or poison into dumplings?

Call me anti-China if you like

Eating at work

I realized that working is not just about meetings, assignments, backstabbing one another, bootlicking the boss and of course doing your work. There is much more to it for us to discover. Actually, there is no limits to what we can find out in a working environment

There are many crucial things to do during work which I discussed with Nas this afternoon. I have decided to one of them down in case if you are not doing it

Eating. Eating plays a very important role when one is working. Working needs energy right? I assume that everyone works with their body parts so energy will be used. What else but eating can make you gain back all these energy in a short period of time? Eating!

Water is for quenching your thirst, Panadol is more relieving headaches (temporarily), smoking Marlboro is too make you high, so eating is too fill your stomach up in case it is distracting you with hunger

The best thing to eat, which I researched on, in an office are biscuits! I assume you know what biscuits are and how they look like. Small yet powerful. One biscuit won't make a damn difference but how about gulping down twenty-five at a go? You are perked up in no time from all the crunchy chewing you make

One more thing, always check if the pantry has biscuits before deciding whether you should bring your Khong Guan or Marks And Spencer's to the office. There is usually biscuits in pantries unless your company has poor employee welfare. Quit your job if your pantry doesn't have biscuits. You don't deserve to be treated so badly by them

Last but not least, do not finish all the biscuits on your own, leave some for your co-workers or their productivity will fall and they might be absent eventually and you will be doing even more work

If you really need to finish all of them, kindly ask the coffee auntie to replenish stocks

Dawn Yeoh

I spoke to Dawn Yeoh on the phone today! Yes, it is really her! One of the seven princesses of Mediacorp, the youngest and cutest one. She called the hotline today and I was the one who answered the call.
I was like so excited when I realized that it was her after checking some things with her NRIC number. Oh yes, did I mention that I have her NRIC number? Yes, I do have it and it starts with 86 for your information in case you are wondering

I was checking the records of this NRIC number that she gave to me and I realized that the name was Dawn Yeoh (plus her Chinese name behind) or something like that when I was looking at the screen.
When I re-answered the call after putting her on hold, I spoke slowly and gently just to hear her voice clearly. I confirm that it is her. Her English was quite average, not say very good or bad and she sounded quite excited (or rather anxious)

She said it was her first time filing income tax so I explained the procedures to her. Before ending the call, I asked for her contact number by giving the reason that it is for record purposes. And yes, I got her handphone number!

Until now, I still feel sort of glad that I actually spoke to a celebrity on the phone and assisted her. Although Dawn has already left Mediacorp, I believe she is still quite popular. At least I prefer her over Felicia Chin. She looks more real

Ok so does anyone want her number? I only accept cash payment

21st day of ITP

I don't understand why my original seat could be taken by someone else and I was forced to sit somewhere else for the whole day today

I mean that seat belongs to me technically, I have been sitting there for quite some time. Then due to some shuffling, I was unable to sit back at my dear old place

I had to settle at another place which I felt a little foreign while sitting there. Last week, I was informed that I am supposed to sit back there. Then today the reply I got was "sorry, the seat has already been taken by someone else has he got it first"

Come on, I reached the office first. I just went to the toilet and when I came back, someone was occupying it already. I assume that he knows that I used to sit there all day but he didn't seem to bother

You can say that I am very petty but it was what happened later which annoyed me. He walked over to the row in front of where I was sitting to check something with another person. Well, that "checking" lasted for quite long I must say. It looked more like a chatting session to me

If you want to hang around there, then might as well sit at that area, don't have to walk such a long distance at all. Return my seat to me

iPad

Oh yeah, so what are people talking about nowadays? iPad right? Yes, it will finally be in stores from 3 April, firstly in America of course. Everything that is created by Apple Inc seems to take to world by storm, from iPods to Macbooks to the erm, over-hyped iPhone. So what about Mr iPad then? Let me, a non-geek neutral average Joe, tell you

You can do lots of things with these tablet computer. Enough people had said enough of its functions. Let me tell you then, it is a perfect object for you to cover your face

Why do I have to cover my face? You would certainly ask. Measuring 9.56 by 7.47 inches (I dutifully did my homework), it should big enough to conceal one's face. So why must I conceal that beautiful face of mine?

To hide yourself. And would it be able to hide my whole self? You would then ask. Of course no, I would reply. But at least you can hide your face unlike the tiny puny iPhone

So the concept is that the iPad is larger than the iPhone. I would reply, you can see it with your eyes, it is larger. Ok so why do you need to cover your face? You are starting to get angry

Ok someone get me an iPad to cover my face now. I feel embarrassed for all the nonsense that I was writing

Actually, my definition is very simple. Ipad is for people who think that the iPhone is too small and a laptop is too bulky, hence using an iPad would be most suitable

But then the question again, what if someone thinks that an iPad is too big and an iPhone is too small? What next? iMedium-Pad?

iDon'tCare because I am not a geek

2 April

Yesterday was April Fool's Day, but surprisingly with an unusual and mad character, I didn't prank anybody. Yes, I was so obedient, I didn't let the naughty side of myself get the better of me. A round of applause please. Ok thank you even though I know that you can't be bothered to clap

Luckily, I was not punk'd by anyone too. This year's April Fool's Day seems a bit dull otherwise. I think it is because the creative juices in my mind had stop functioning because of the monotonous working life I am currently having

Every year when I flip the calendar to April, there will always be this nostalgic feeling. First of all, my royal birthday falls on the 12th day of this month. Since young, I was told that I was scheduled to be born on the 10th by the doctor but I was too stubborn or lazy to get out and the delay lasted for two days. I think it is true as I am still a very stubborn person nineteen years later toady

Then, April is the only month where I can remember the most birthdays. Like Nicholas who is six days younger than me, my cousin who happened to share the same birthday as me and many many other people. Even the place that I used to work at is infested with April babies

April also tends to be the month which has the most number of thunderstorms and is the temperature is always a bit higher than usual

Speaking about which, my ITP will be ending in a fortnight. It has been a really "long" journey for me and now I am nearing my destination as each day, hour, minute and second pass by without pausing. Looking back at the first day of work, I realized that time really flies although I still think it passes by very slowly when I'm working

It is all about the perspective of the observer in fact. If you stand at the top, you will find that you had came a long way, if you are at the bottom, you will see things differently. It is the angle which you are looking from. I hope that doesn't sound like trigonometry to you

My $0.02 worth on NS

So it's down to eighteen days. Eighteen more days as a full-time national serviceman, eighteen more days before I am discharged from th...
