After the huge success of Angry Birds, the maker of this popular game is set to launch a new one titled Amazing Alex. Rovio, the developer of Angry Birds, will release this physics-related puzzle game within the next couple of months.
Amazing Akex is based on Rovio's recent accquisition of Casey's Contraptions. The latter was took off from the App Store after the Angry Birds creators "ate up" the company which was originally behind the game.
Amazing Alex is anticipated to be out in July on Android and iOS platforms. Support for other platforms should be released at a later time. The main question is actually whether Amazing Alex can be a worthy successor of Angry Birds.
I think the name Amazing Alex should be changed to something that sounds more attractive or unique. Amazing Alex sounds rather similar to Bob the Builder and both of them are about building stuff. Rovio should come up with a title that doesn't have any human name in it to look universal.
Speaking of which, let's put Amazing Alex aside first and congratulate Rovio for acheiving one billion downloads for Angry Birds.
