Things that might become extinct by 2020 Part One

Step into a time capsule and go back to year 2000 when people were still celebrating the new millennium. Ten years ago, the pager was still alive and part of many people's lives. Ten years later, you will get laughed at for mentioning this telecomm device

The pager has long been forgotten, along with those big, black and bulky television sets. So what are some things that will no longer exist in ten years’ time? This is the list which I have come up with

Fax machine

Also known as the facsimile machine, it virtually transfers documents to another party via the use of technology. The advantage of using one over long distances is that it saves time compared to post. However, with the presence of email, a fax machine looks redundant

To fax a document, you will have to print it out first. This means doing two things when you can just do one by using email. Also, the quality is inconsistent resulting in blurred words or images

Fax machines are a waste of time and not environmentally friendly. Please be gone by the next ten years. Good riddance

If only we could fax money, food, water or even humans. Then the fax machine deserves to continue living in this world
