TV Mobile
There goes TV Mobile for good. Good riddance. Many people cheered about it when the news first broke out. Peace will finally be restored in SBS Transit buses
For me, my impression of this mobile TV service is repetitive commercials and Just For Laugh gags. It all started off in early 2000 with much enthusiasm from commuters but the excitement has since died down
With the emergence of iPhones, PSPs, Nintendo DS, who still needs a TV showing old Channel 8 dramas to keep himself entertained on the bus?
On a screen that is even smaller than the size of my big head, how will passengers at the back be able to see clearly? Also, the sound system has never failed in being a failure let alone the poor reception which results in laggy shows
Maybe Mediacorp thinks that it has earned enough from the advertisement fees over the years so they decided to make TV Mobile go into history
Now, you can, at last, enjoy a bus ride in peace. And there is a gigantic screen on your left/right (depending on where you sit) which plays the scenery outside the bus as the vehicle moves
