SMRT jingles

This is how the MRT map will look like in 2020 (when you use some imagination).

I find that the annoying songs sung by the Dim Sum Dollies in SMRT trains and stations rather pointless. This local musical cabaret group should just stick to singing in concert halls. Let Phua Chu Kang and Rosie continue to rule the trains.

"Train is coming, train is coming" Seriously, who doesn't know if a train is approaching a station? Are Singaporeans so pathetic that we need someone to tell us our public transport is arriving soon?

Also, there is the ridiculous "Inside, Inside, Inside" jingle. How to move inside when the train is already so crowded? People are already tired after a day at work and they still have to endure this irritating song.

Finally, there is also the "Give Up your Seat" jingle. It doesn't really serve much of a purpose too. Phua Chu Kang had already done a good job to improve the graciousness of commuters last year.

Maybe the Dim Sum Dollies should sing the "Give Up your Seat" song to some of the MPs in Parliament.

"People can board the train, it is whether they choose to.” -Saw Phaik Hwa, CEO of SMRT
