Lianhe Zaobao is pro-China

The headline news on the first page of today's Lianhe Zaobao isn't that "heavyweight" to claim first spot. The title of that news is also the headline on its website (as shown below).

To me, it seems that zaobao is trying to bootlick China and console the masses of PRCs in our country. I don't see a need to report on the security as a headline news.

If the newspaper were to only report on the result of the China-Japan football match, then it looks fine. Or else, they should just move the whole article to the sports section and then report the score with the security.

Obviously, zaobao is trying to cover up the embarrassment of the poor Cheena team that got humiliated 3:0 by the Japanese just like what happened during World War II.

The Senkaku Islands (Diaoyu Dao) incident might have increased the tension of this match but I don't see what's so proud about China the host being able to prevent any conflicts among the fans.

Is Lianhe Zaobao trying to tell readers that China is poor at security all the time so yesterday's peaceful game was a milestone achievement for them?

Providing security is the basic task that all hosts must do. You don't see things like "Real Madrid did an excellent job in security when they hosted Barcelona at the Bernabeu", do you? You either see Messi or Ronaldo's name.

Lianhe Zaobao is pro-China to some extent. But Singaporeans are certainly not. I'm referring to those who are born and bred here.
