Lucky

The world's oldest sheep has passed away in Australia according to its owner. It lost the battle against the blazing heat which paid a nasty visit to the south-east area of the country

Lucky, the sheep, died at the age of 23 years, 6 months and 28 days at the farm where she was born. Her owner, Delrae Wetgarth, said that they tried putting air-conditioners on the animal but unfortunately Lucky couldn't make it

The ewe was given the title of the world's oldest sheep in 2007 by the Guinness World Records when it was 21 years old. Lucky reached almost twice the normal top age for sheeps which live about 10 to 12 years but succumbed to the heat

RIP Lucky
