Australia's new government

Australia has a government at last. With 2 independents jumping onto Julia Gillard's ship, the Labor Party has 76 seats in the 150-seat lower house of Parliament. Too bad to you Tony Abbot, try again next time

I had always preferred Abbot over Gillard. The latter looks very arrogant and gives the impression that she rules with an iron fist. Something similar to Singapore's erhem, you-know-who. Not a bad thing but might not be a good thing either

Gillard's main concerns would be the to lay out the new broadband infrastructure to boost the country's network in rural areas. Taxation of mining companies is also another issue where part of the money will be used for restoration and construction of hospitals

Gillard should be able to maintain peace within her own country and forge good ties with neighbouring countries in the Pacific like New Zealand and Indonesia. Australia's economy should be able to experience a soar

But I still think Abbot can do it better than her
